Food For Thought

The Food for Thought program was developed by the Ferguson-Florissant School District to respond to the needs of middle and high school homeless students, as well as preschool students who often have limited access to food outside of school. Immanuel members donate food items weekly during the school year. The food is collected each week and taken to the participating district school. At the end of each week, the food is given to students who need food over the weekend. Coordinated by the district’s social work team, the Food for Thought Program was officially launched as a self-sustaining program in October 2012.
