Started by the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1993, Room at the Inn is a temporary, emergency shelter for homeless women and families, regardless of the age or gender of the children. RATI serves about 200 people per year, including single mothers with their children, single women, two-parent or single-father families. With a capacity of 20 people per day, RATI is strengthened by more than 2,000 regular yearly volunteers, representing 15 different faiths and a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. Working together, we are the catalyst that allows the community to help the homeless.

Immanuel has been a Night Site for more than 15 years. On the fifth Thursday of a month, volunteers from Immanuel transport 8-10 guests from RATI headquarters in Bridgeton to our Educational Building. While staying with us, our guests enjoy a home cooked evening meal, companionship and a safe place to sleep; in the morning, breakfast is provided before volunteers transport guests back to Bridgeton.
